The Project
From idea to landmark.
The Water Tower Project was a community-driven initiative to transform a water tower in Holland, New York into a piece of public art. WNY Sign Co. took it on because we believe signage and visual communication can do more than advertise - they can bring a community together.
We opened the project up to the entire community, inviting anyone who loves Holland to submit a mural design. The community voted on their favorites, and the winning design was produced and installed on the tower.
What started as a blank utility structure is now a landmark the town can be proud of for years to come.
From Idea to Finished Project
How it came together.
The Idea
A water tower in Holland, NY stood as a blank canvas. WNY Sign Co. saw an opportunity to turn it into something the community could be part of.
Community Involvement
We opened the project to everyone who loves Holland. Residents of all ages submitted mural designs, sharing their vision for what the tower could become.
Design
Dozens of designs came in. Each one reflected something personal about Holland - its history, its people, and its sense of place.
Production & Installation
The winning design was produced and installed on the 40-foot water tower, transforming a utility structure into a piece of public art.
